Prayer for Bloggers and Readers

Just wanted to say thank you to all who have read, supported, commented, prayed, or otherwise had anything to do with this blog!  On behalf of my first anniversary of blogging at Sisters Under the Trees, I’ll take a moment to pray!

Gracious God

You created the earth, moon and stars
You created living things that breath, bleed and love
You created the night and day
You created us

And somehow, you put into motion the creation of this…
the blogging world.

As with everything,
we do not always use it with love and kindness.
we do not always think of justice and the Kingdom.
we do not always have you in our mind.

Yet Lord,
As with the rest of your creation,
Blogging can be used for good.

Help us remember You when we write.
Help us remember You when we read.
Help us remember You when we comment.
Help us remember You in all we do.

Thank you for another tool, another way
to build positive relationships.
to explore our past, present and future.
to be in community.
to get closer to you.

Lord, bless those who engage in blogging,
use them – both writers and readers
to further Your Will,
whatever that may be.

Amen.

Congratulations on your anniversary! I think this just might be the first prayer written for blogging. Hope you have many more successful years with this blog and sharing your thoughts with others!
