To My Kids…love each other.

There is so much I want you to know.  The first is just how much I love you.  I love you so much that even during our worst moments I do not know how I would breathe without you.  I would never trade my life with you for anything – even heaven.

The second, that I want you to love each other – and you already do.

God willing, you will know each other longer than you will know anyone else.  You have a tie between you that no one else has – and I pray that the tie will never be broken.

Throughout your lives you will have each other for strength, comfort, fun, and a place to go home to.  You will go through times of disagreement, distance, and changes – but you have a connection that can never be broken and can always be renewed.  Your differences will be an asset, if you see them as ways to strengthen and help the other.

I pray that God will continue to guide your relationship, that God will help you to see each other for the unique and amazing souls you are.  I pray that you continue to laugh together, challenge each other, and provide help even when not asked.  My you remain open to the people you both grow into and continue to celebrate who God made you to be!

Lord, continue to guide my children in their relationship.  Provide them with patience and insight, enhance their joy and laughter, and especially, remind them that they are loved by you. Amen.
