Princess Cake for Mommy

I think I had my all-time best birthday this past weekend.  (A week in Geneva, Switzerland with the husband for my 30th, our 5th anniversary, and seminary graduation was a very close 2nd.)

My preschool son decided I needed a princess birthday cake.  After church we picked-it up at the store, with him announcing loudly that he “loves me so much” as he gave me a hug!  “Awes” ensued from those nearby.

At home, after candles were added, he sang a beautiful rendition of “Happy Birthday,” with a second verse of “May God Bless You Mommy.”  (Preschool is paying off, but then Daddy taught him the “live in the zoo”.)

God has definitely blessed me.

When was a time when God blessed you in an unexpected way?

I live to walk with others on their journeys - because everyone needs to know that they are loved, that they matter, and that they are doing amazing things. I'm a lot like our two kids: obsessed with learning, and constantly creating.

Love that BOY! He loves his family SO much! He definitely thinks Mommy and Clara are his princesses. He will grow up treating women nicely and with respect. He is such a loving boy.
Mommy does a good job guiding him and Daddy, too. Thank you for sharing such a great guy, his imagination and work product.
